The Valentine Massacre - Alley Cat Race 2/10/2007

This was the first Alley Cat race I photographed and also the first one I have raced. I like racing through the Sacramento City streets when it is raining, but I was glad I had breaks (most people did not).

The group gathers, lots of fixies, a few single speeds and fewer geared bikes (like mine).                                                                        The promoters.

Not everyone stayed at their checkpoints long enough.                                                                                             And the winner did not look happy, but I think everyone had a good time playing in the rain.

It started to really rain during the skid comp....                                                        ..... but people still went for it!
